Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program of Norfolk Chapter 122, Order of AHEPA, was instituted to foster, inspire, motivate, and propel education at post-secondary institutions of higher learning for qualified members of the Hellenic community.
Scholarships will be granted through a competitive process that highlights academic excellence and community involvement.
AHEPA scholarships aim to assist eligible students dedicated to pursuing education at post-secondary institutions of higher learning. The application form provides comprehensive information on the eligibility criteria for this Scholarship Program, along with details on applicable restrictions.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria listed below:
Be an Active Member* of AHEPA Chapter 122 (with dues paid through 2024) and be in good standing for the past two years if applicable.
Be the child or sibling of an Active Member* of AHEPA.
Be the child or sibling of a deceased local member of AHEPA.
Be the child or sibling of an active member (with dues paid through 2024) of the Daughters of Penelope. (In cases where the local chapter is inactive, the active member must also be a paid member of the National Daughters of Penelope and have maintained their membership for at least one (1) full calendar year, dating back to April 1 of the previous year).
*Crucial Clarification Regarding "Active Member": An "Active Member" of Norfolk Chapter 122 is defined as an individual who has maintained their membership for a minimum of one (1) complete calendar year (dating back to April 1 of the preceding year), has participated in no fewer than three (3) Chapter General Meetings (spanning from September 2023 to May 2024), and has settled their dues before the Scholarship Application deadline.
